Groups for Adults
The upcoming group topic will be: Living Mindfully during COVID-19 Times: Coping with life’s transitions and navigating our way through times of change.
During our lifetime we experience transitions, some of which are very challenging to deal with. Such changes could include a loss of a loved one, an illness, a career change, experiencing an empty nest, a sexual transition, moving or relocating, immigrating, caring for other family members, aging, divorce, and blending new families.
During our workshop, you will learn to listen to your inner voice at a time of transition. You will learn to unlock your doors of happiness and manage your way through challenging times. You will also learn how to make your journey of growth, wisdom and create as well as maintain a positive change in your life.
Working in small groups will support you throughout the process of achieving well-being, happiness and fostering personal growth. We will engage with Mindfulness Meditation techniques, Positive Psychology and creative methods such as arts, writing and drama. No previous experience in psychology or the creative arts is needed.

How do we work in teletherapy?
If you have access to a computer or mobile device, it is possible for us to meet online and you could receive support and therapy from the comfort of your own home.
Teletherapy is delivered in real-time, using your mobile device, your laptop, or home computer.
We would meet via an interactive video application such as Zoom, Skype and/or WhatsApp.
Are all your services currently delivered online?
To ensure everyone’s safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, all of my services are delivered online. This includes individual therapy, couple therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and clinical supervision for individuals and/or groups.
Is telehealth an effective service?
Telehealth services have existed for decades. Research has shown that teletherapy can be as effective as in-person counselling, and client satisfaction is usually high.
I often work with clients using this method; my clients and I have found the online services very helpful.
How do you take care of client’s confidentiality while working online?
Confidential communication is provided when using video conferencing software.
Encrypted platforms, secure technology, and private therapy rooms are designed to safeguard your privacy.
When scheduling a session you would receive a unique room number and a unique password to ensure cyber security.
My practice methods are compliant with the Personal Information and Protection Act of BC.
What are the advantages to teletherapy?
There are many advantages to teletherapy in place of in-person meetings at my office:
You will meet me in the comfort of your own place.
It is also helpful when meeting in person is not possible or is not safe.
Are there different fees for teletherapy?
The same fee rates and policies apply for telehealth services as for in-person sessions at my office.
If you have more questions about my services during the pandemic time, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
